Star Trek: Ascendancy – The Dominion War

If it was just the faction, I would give it a lower rating (not much though), but it also brings the alliance mode. The dominion faction is interesting, but the gamma quadrant rule is a bit weird and leads to weird board states.

The Dominion War variant (where players begin with developed economies and unlocked star ports) gets rid of those anticlimactic ascendancy victories. All 10+ folks in our various play groups love having this variant, and most of them prefer it.
