Rotation Rumble // is a small but mighty two-player card game developed and self-published by Robin Metz the brains behind beaverlicious Games. Games of Rotation Rumble typically last up to 20 minutes.  In Rotation Rumble players go head-to-head to battle it out until one player is victorious and ends the game by reaching 12 victory points (VP).

Before the game starts the players can either select eleven cards from a fast pool of cards, or they may choose a preselected set of cards, in particular if it is their first game. Each deck comprises a captain with a specific ability, fighters, items and flash cards. Then the game starts and players take turns, with each turn consisting of two phases. In the first phase players may play up to one fighter, and, if they can afford it, one item and one flash card from their hand into one of three lanes. At this point, they may also rotate any previously placed fighter cards to reap a plethora of rewards, which is a central mechanism of the game. In phase two, the “rumble phase”, players go ahead battling it out, fighter against fighter in a tug-of-war style competition to win VPs.

Rotation Rumble is a clever and well-balanced game of hand-management, deck building and close drafting, that has been developed and crafted with a fantastic eye for detail and an enormous amount of passion over the past years. Players can build their own decks of cards to form their asymmetric fractions, providing endless amounts of possible combinations and hours of entertainment. We loved playing this quirky and fun game that comes in this cute little retro box, we highly recommend you check it out for yourself and support this independent maker, when it goes live in May 25, as part of the “Micro Game May” initiative on Kickstarter.

Easy, Fast and Fun! With infinity replayability and new strategies to try. Feels like i´m playing a Lightweight MTG game.

Played with friends and they can´t wait for the release to have their own copy.
