Great fun. A fast playing adventure game which is rules light. The deck building is interesting and you get really invested in your characters development. Looking forward to more content.
So far a great experience! After we finished a quest we already look forward to the next session. For my group a contender for GOTY 2023! Hope there will be an add-on with a new campaign.
[Keeping Unsleeved] [Bling: Acrylic Enemy Standees, Character card sleeves] [Strong Solo]
Thoughts after a few quests in: 3-handed solo is quite enjoyable, though clever organization is necessary to keep all components within easy reach. I recommend keeping character decks and discard piles standing up in a card container to save table space. The Gamegenic Tokens’ Lair once again comes in handy here, I love this thing. You’ll also want unique colored sleeves for each character to make it clear which deck is which. With this kind of table organization you can easily have all 3 character’s hands face up and within reach which is a must. The game itself is light, fun, and breezy but still substantial enough and I really appreciate that an app isn’t required to play. I can actually see myself completing this campaign.
Some criticsm: the game seems to actively discourage you to sleeve cards, perhaps that’s intentional. The pins to connect the health dials are poorly constructed, mine fit together loosely so the dials keep falling apart when I pick them up (I’ll have to glue them). The cards are too thin and the lack of art on them is disappointing.
Acrylic enemy standees entirely unnecessary (coming from someone who likes to deluxify their games)

about 8 scenario's in: it's a blast and the world/story keeps on growing.
After that it only gets better :)
The last 8 or so scenarios especially where a blast and loads of fun, the designer was showing of his creativity with all kinds of different scenario mechanics: Loved it ! Absolutely loved it ! More of this please. Something with a boat, where to focus your attention, use of overlays etc. etc.: showcasing the possibilities of the game engine (Gloomhaven scenarios eat your heart out).
Only downside: there's no news of a new campaign with this engine (yet)...
