I feel like the rating might go up on this one. The American player has quite a bit to deal with right away, especially if the British ford Rigolet Creek with a wide front to try to encircle the fort. It's important for the British to stay well away from the artillery, especially since it's mobile and gets two shots. Drawing the Americans out of the buildings might be key. Another tool the British can use is, because most of their units have higher movement than most of the American units, is the retreat before combat, which forces the Americans to use up their allotted number of attacks in areas where the British want them to, rather than in more sensitive areas, such as trying to sneak down the orchard wall....

Box version. Very good initiation wargame that can be played in an hour and a half. Clear and concise manual of only 4 pages. Low density of game counters and a very nice game.
The game uses a very simple set of rules that is common to all the other games in the Battles of History series except for a few peculiarities specific to each title.
The cards are the ones that mark the dynamics of the game as each turn indicates the number of units that can move, attack and an event that impact in the game, which gives a great randomness to each game and avoids repetitive games. Magnificent quality of the game counters and cards to which the Blue Panther editor has habituated us, with the addition of the canvas map that comes by default.
Highly recommended game.
Fun little game with excellent components on a little known battle of the American Revolution. Both sides can win, that wasn't the case we found in the St Louis and Fort Jefferson games.
