✅ Bright and bold colors make the play area very cheerful and welcoming, almost hearkening back to past decades. ✅ Figuring out how to use student and superhero powers is very neat, particularly when using teamwork for synergies. ✅ The art style is unique and includes a very diverse range of classmates who all seem to be friendly in their own ways. ✅ Wooden superhero meeples are excellent as action markers, and a lot of the component quality is impressive. ✅ Included modules are available to increase the difficulty level, and there is even a connected mini-campaign mode. ✅ Deciding how to use a small number of actions leads to lots of optimization strategies, which can pay off immensely.
❌ Roleplaying is mixed in with strategic board game actions, which can be hard to pivot between to enjoy the game. ❌ Each deck of cards is very limited, leaving little room for long-term variety or vastly different game experiences. ❌ The rulebook is text-heavy with artwork instead of visual examples, which makes it challenging to learn quickly. ❌ Fighting crime in between the other teenager actions can almost be punishing, especially with both crimes active.

Combines the stress of homework, crime fighting, and high school relations together in a wonderful package. It isn't going to hit the table every week, but the demo is being asked to be in regular rotation.
Had our first game last night (6 of us in multiverse mode) and it was a lot of fun. Challenging, too - heroes in one universe struggled to reveal their final clue just before time ran out.
I played an early prototype of this game at 2022 Origins Game Fair. It is a very unique coop game that does an incredible job of implementing the theme of being a high school student super-hero, (homework, relationships, fighting the bad guys). There are enjoyable game elements that are unlike any other games I’ve played.
Being an early prototype, balancing the difficulty to make the game winnable but challenging still may need some further play testing but there is no reason to think this won’t be a great game. Hoping to play again soon and add the game to my collection.
