Easy, fun, cinematic, chaotic, a decent set of rules for cowboy shootout fun!

This is a great game. The use of action dice that deal with: activation, movement, cover and shooting feels fresh and fun. Each time a character is activated it becomes a little brain tease to ensure you can sort of do what you want. It plays very intuitively once you get going and provides fantastic narratives for game play. We are about to start a campaign which should be great fun. It is obvious that a great deal of testing went into the gameplay and balance of the game. There are a few edge mechanics, especially for one-shot games, that I am not sure if they are necessary, e.g. random events and traits. But no less joy if left out.

Fast and furious Wild West skirmish game. Feels very cinematic, lots of unpredictability but also interesting and meaningful choices thanks to the activation dice mechanics.

Really fun, Hollywood western. You can dodge bullets, jump between buildings, shoot through the floor, fast draws. Every Hollywood trop you can think of.

Mechanics are simple and intuitive. As with all Too Fat Lardies games, a fair amount of luck, but high quality characters can mitigate that to a degree. Your poor greenhorn, may be left standing in the street looking stupid as he gets gunned down. Life is also not fair in some fairly exceptional circumstances, you don’t even get actions in the round.

The set is a superior reimplementation of the fun, but silly “What a Tanker” adding aspects of the excellent “Chain of Command” ruleset. Honestly superior to both.

Enjoyable and silly. Very similar to What A Tanker in using 6D6 to determine what your character can do: Move, spot, aim, shoot/reload and 6 is a wildcard you can use for any action.

I’m always up for a game of this, with its fast play mechanics. Played a six game campaign, and loved every minute of it. Although my two main characters ( The Sheriff & his Deputy ended up being the town drunks ?)
