Dominion is THE game for me, it is currently my favorite game, and it was the game that introduced me to the board gaming world. At that time, I almost didn't play it because I promised myself I was going to get out of MtG (I played from 1993 to 2010, sometimes up to 10 hours per day). I have always loved Dominion BUT lately I'm obsessed with it, so it became my favorite game of all time and my most played game. Due to this, I'm always happy to play it and I purchase new content for it as soon as it becomes available. It is VERY nice of Rio Grande Games to offer this update pack instead of ONLY publishing the second edition. This is a sign of respect to your customers and many other publishers need to heed it.
I'm a bit sad to see that 8 cards from the previous edition were replaced, but this isn’t a concern as I can always play with them if the mood strikes (except online) AND Cornucopia is perhaps the expansion I like the least as it encouraged players to get several different cards for effects (even though I still like it). I'm sad to see Tournament go, but that card was very swingy. I'm surprised Farming Village was removed. On the other hand, I'm also very happy with the 8 new cards as I always love new content for the game. When I play more with them, I will comment on them, but for now, Farrier seems like a great powerful card.
Bottom line, Dominion: Cornucopia & Guilds – Update Pack is a must-have for me, and I'm very happy with the new content. For now, I'm giving it the same rating I gave to every update pack.
