Well this was the core rulebook for the game. Essential I'd say.

The original Battletech "compendium", still a viable guidebook for running earlier editions of the game. Plus who can find dislike in the giant Atlas firing its guns on the front cover? :D

Still my favorite BattleTech rule set. Now I play using tabletop terrain and MechWarrior: Dark Age miniatures, though.
