As funny as all the roles are, it feels like the whole point of the design is that nobody looks at each other's boards. Gotta focus on your own tasks first! To be fair the map here is way lighter than Root or Vast or even Spirit Island, but there's still that barrier to getting me to care about other VP engines. Compared to Betrayal at House on the Hill where everyone's playing the same game, even when that game changes halfway through. It's still amusing to be the evil monsters, but there's no thrills in gobbling up faceless nameless meeples, they're just sets required to unlock VP cards. It stops feeling like a horror game. No emotions here, only EFFICIENCY.
Also not sure why there's tiny decks for each role, when it's not even a deck-builder. Just random actions?
Heavy asymmetry with light gameplay that takes less than an hour. Literally takes 5 minutes to teach. Also, you get to play as a murderous car.
