There is a lot going here in a very very short space of time. It's possible it may just become 'solved' after repeated plays or it could turn into a really serious filler.
First impression after one play. I wasn't too thrilled. It's a bit difficult to really understand what you actually should be doing, what to expect and what's the smartest choice etc. when playing for the first time.. more plays will undoubtedly make this more clear. Once all players know what they're doing, this game should make a decent fast filler.
A stressful little disaster management game for those who don't mind some punishment in their games. Very simple and short, with a brutal auction where you can really screw over your fellow player. There is something special about the communal suffering you experience as a group as you struggle through disaster after disaster.
A higher rating sticks for it's ease to pickup and play.
After one play. Good experience.
A rather dry Euro game, with quick playing time, logical game mechanics, and a rather brutal series of unfortunate events destroying anything you have built every few turns. It is not very lavishly produced, and it is entirely lacking in theme, but it's a clever and intriguing puzzle with a nice auction phase.
One of the best light civ games. Not as epic as some longer ones but still good.

So so bidding game. Feels very solo in parts which I'm not so keen on, but there was lots to think about and I would play again. Theme doesn't really marry up very well to it, so it felt quite dry.
