I fail to see why this game is generally quite highly thought of. Just another area influence game really with nothing to make it stand out. The best thing going for it is that it plays quickly.
Tactical and calculating. A nice, rule-easy game.
reviewed on my blog as 'Kardinal & Konig/Web of Power'
I like this game a lot. Tense and quick to play. Best with three but also works well with up to five.
I had fun with WoP, but I'm used to playing China. Consequently, I found the two face up cards to be a little limiting. I had to adjust my strategy a bit and didn't do as well as I do with China. Also, as a four-player game it felt a little cramped... so far I've only played China three-player. I need to give Web of Power a few more goes before I see which game I prefer, but right now China has the edge.
Bellissimo, secondo me è strategico al punto giusto, sempre vario, interessante.
Fast, simple, deep. 20-30 minutes for a game. I like very much ! ;-)
From the Reviews: I got mixed vibes from the reviews, but it seems that this game come in a a solid 7 rating because it plays fast (45 min) and scales well with 2-5 players. Out of print so look for China.
Played the Web of Power version once and would like to play it again.
