Will trade off GEV maps/parts from earlier releases
Fun in its day
Good light sci-fi game. Only thing missing is opportunity fire rules.
Follow up to Ogre. Microgame with more scenarios and more like a conventional wargame than the original. Not as interesting as Ogre itself.
It is an updated version of [thing=5206][/thing] with updated combat rules and better scenarios. Playing with a stack of GEVs vs. an army is even better than one giant tank. One of the better pocket games on the market.
I spent a lot of time playing GEV when I was younger. It has a few fiddly bits, but is a good tactical game in general, not bad for basic training. Haven't played it for a while though.
I had played Ogre back in the day but could never get into this one very much. It was like a sequel to the Matrix or something...not really necessary :)
More scenarios, more interesting terrain, and a better assortment of combat units make this one of the rare sequels that's superior to the original (OGRE).
