Civilization

Long game. Lots of fun. Don't get to play much anymore.

Played loads when I was younger but a recent playing made me realise just how much game design has progressed. It wasn't the length of the game itself that put me off but just the repetitive nature. You do the same thing every turn just building up your civilisation until it get hits by a disaster and then you start again. The rating is really down to how fondly I remember it because if I was basing it on my playing now, it would be a 4

Still have a soft spot for this one. Got a good amount of play some years back.

The best CIV game out there. Got Gibson (2018) and Avalon Hill (1982) versions.
