Fun expansion. Could use some tycoon cards so you can have some possible extra points at the end of game. Everything seems of good quality.

I don't rate the expansions but they are all good.

I'm not a huge 'railroads' fan, but I really like this expansion the best of all the base and variant maps I have seen. The only possible drawback for some is that it adds a little more 'brain burner' to the mix due to the increased number of possible city pairings. Overall, I think this was a great idea to breath some new life into a game by changing more than just the topography. (And, as a disclaimer, I was fortunate enough to be able to play test this game)

Compared to the base game, the map is WAY more open with the time stream spaces (or whatever they're called). Personally, I like that because it gives more options. The time lines (which replace the major routes) are kind of wonky. I feel like you should snag them if you can (if it makes sense to do so without going far out of your way), but they're not so strong that you should do them at the expense of other goals (deliveries). In our 5p game, no one bothered to get anything past a 3-engine - you could reach anywhere quite easily so the investment didn't actually make sense (the game was too short to make it worthwhile). I rather liked it but it's definitely a push away from the core so your mileage may vary.

A wide open and challenging version of Railways.

That said, the new rule where you cannot use other trains (not in the original expansion book, but added via errata and in the new Rules Compendium) makes it a bit less appealing. The major lines work differently too and are less appealing.

It's also even more of a table hog than the big maps once you get to 4 people since it's number of players plus one map.

Fun idea but clunky execution.
