I like the game and a play with all with all optional rules. HFDG did a good job updating the graphics. Short rules. But be careful, there are little rules that can be overlooked. But overall not a bad game.
Good game, like the flow, just not sure limited intelligence has much application in these battles. Still, worthy of replay.
Have only played Montaperti solitaire. Quick-playing game that I have played several times, and is a challenge for both sides. I enjoy the unpredictability of the chit draw, and the optional rules add nice flavor with facing and leadership rules. Light rules overhead, but don’t forget all of the combat and morale modifiers. My go-to travel game.
Single solo play of Campaldino (TCS Version). I played this because this is the one battle in which Dante Alighieri is listed as having taken part. Pretty much a draw. Components (DTP) so so. No stacking but map gets crowded with chits for combat level and activation (if I am doing it right). Needs a bigger map/hexes. Rules are ambiguous regarding activation so I house ruled it. Unit elimination seems difficult given recovery rules. Simple enough to teach newcomers and finish in an hour or so.
