Too simple to stay interesting.
Light and simple, it's good as a gateway game and with the right mood (no deep thinking, just easy going tile placement) can be a pleasant filler once in a while. Quite simply, it never really caught my heart, wearing down quickly. The luck factor can be a problem, further exalted by a high number of players, but most of all its limited depth simply doesn't appeal my inner meeple, I suppose. And, of course, my overall feeling about this game is not even remotely biased by the fact that, the last time I played, a pretty lady heavily kicked my rear end twice in a row.
RGG edition w/ River included. Tiles are sturdy and with a simple yet nice artwork, same goes for the scoreboard (large but going only to 50, not enough for a typical Carcassone game but also not a big problem, anyway). And then there are the meeples! Cute, highly symbolic for modern eurogaming, absolutely needed (and great) to keep yourself occupied during downtime.
One of my favorite game! It is really pretty and had a lot of expansions,it’s really nice game for beginners because of the easy rule.
There is nothing to write here. It is Carcassonne.

Our beloved gateway game that sucked us into geekdom a few years ago. The quintessential Euro game and, IMHO, infinitely preferable to Settlers!
Fairly light tile-laying game. Random factor due to single tile playing. But optimal play each turn is quite difficult to determine. Farmers seem to be the key to winning, unless you get into a "Farmer war", then the city builder will win.
Just played this with 6 players and the Princess & Dragon and The Tower expansions. They turned a nice game into something very nasty. It was also highly random due to the 6 players.
