minimalism and playability is the way... Go Downey! His even simpler game, “The Basball Card game”, pre-dates the History Maker angle of “traits instead of stats”. Fast, very fun, no headaches.

Excellent concept and extremely fun to play. I give it an 8 because I am not sure how accurate it is or isn't. The game itself advertises as not being a strict stat simulation. If this comes up "close" as the stats go it could warrant a 10. Very unique creative concept. Easily worth the price of admission.

Low rules overhead and, with a little elbow grease, practically every team available to use in the game. It's a quick game that gets the feeling of a baseball game without the minutiae that slows these kinds of games down. It's just slightly more complex than Deadball Second edition. Added plus, can be played in bed without disturbing the lady, no dice to roll ( you use a deck of cards - if you know how to quietly shuffle a deck, that is) and a small footprint.
