single page dungeon, miniatures and rules that indicate what attack roles are needed to vanquish monsters and what treasure is found, repetitive quickly, great intro to miniature wargames, still have the ugly miniatures, no longer have the map and rules
More like owned at one point. Got it for a Christmas gift, took me forever to paint the minis right, but I had fun with the system. My fave piece was the fighter. Never got the sequel "Caverns of Doom", so I think I made my own expansions. Somehow the map, and figs were lost.
Fun for what it is, a very basic dungeon crawl for beginners that is playable solo.
Oh the days. I wish I still had this one. I think I have the map and that is it.
I bought this game when it first came out in 1980. It was the perfect introduction to fantasy role playing and contained just enough of all the essential elements to really get me hooked. To this day I consider it a perfect distillation of rules and the genre. The rulebook was all of four pages and it was still very understandable.
Love the Heritage paint and play sets. Still play this even now.
