Siege Warfare

Another poorly conceived Magic: The Gather clone from Kickstarter. Besides one or two unoriginal mechanisms from other similar card games, it's almost an exact copy of MTG with a pasted-on American Civil War theme. Don't waste your time with this one.

Heart of the South and Indivisible

I have 2 sets of all the 6 Civil War decks: Indivisible, Divide&Conquer, Scorched Earth, Rebels&Raiders, Heart of the South, Defending Gettysburg. Cards come as complete sets so you don't have to try & collect them although you need at least 1 deck per person to play. Rules can be obtained & printed from their website although some reference cards in each deck act as play aids. It appears that the designers expect you to have a background in MAGIC The Gathering Card Game in the way they have written their instructions/created their instruction videos. It would have been better assuming zero knowledge of that game. Some of the abilities of the cards should be in a FAQ on their website versus being scattered here on BGG. All that said, the card art from famous CW artists is beautiful. Card quality is somewhat thin, playing card deck sized. Limited solo ability other than when trying to learn the game. Designers put up some play videos but they tend to jump past rules and card effects quick so it's hard to learn in a very procedural manner without watching & slowing the video, and rewatching....Also those are not real time play either--they use computer graphics. I really think if they did a one hour long teach with real decks and closeups of cards this game would skyrocket in appeal. I have to score this just a 6.5 It could easily be 7.5 with some better fleshed out rules and examples. I've added a file in an attempt to walk through and explain turn sequence
