For trade only without Sarcosuchus and Quetzalcoatlus decks. The other 6 Apex decks intact, along with the rest of the game, fully sleeved.
solid deck-building game, with new mechanics. Some points of rules & cards should be improved > guess it will be done with the 2nd printing. Lack a bit of players interaction. One of the best solo mode.
Wanted Sarchosuchus and Quetzalcoatlus. Rest is likely to be replacement parts. Gave to F
Three plays in and Iove it. Thought it would be rough without the board but its an easy setup. After watching a video after 1st play it all flows together very well.
Got this to get the two Exotic Predator species to add to the second edition game.
Deck Builders are quite common these days, but this one takes a bit of a different spin on things. No occult. No zombies. No super heros. Nope...DINOSAURS. Up to 8 players (Yeah...8!) take control of one of many different dinosaurs. The goal is to consume prey, expand your nest and your 'tribes' numbers in order to defeat various boss dinosaurs throughout the deck.
But just because you're a fierce carnivore doesn't mean you're safe from harm. Some prey can fight you back, or if you alert them they can damage you even more. Damage clogs your deck with cards that have no effect thus slowing you down...and if you draw a hand full of wound cards, you die! D:
On top of that, you can get infected with a virus that can eventually kill you if you fail to adapt to it, various environmental effect cards that can either slow down or speed up play, and eventually the comet that wiped them all out can strike, causing the entire game to end and players have to tally up their score to see who's species truly was the Apex predator.
A very fun game with new mechanics I, personally, had not seen yet in deck builders. Having 8 players is crazy and can be fun, but also a bit tedious if they aren't seasoned players or are unfamiliar with the game (Causes mass slow down). But having 8 warring beasties trying to fight for supremacy is pretty awesome none the less!
Not too expensive for the base game. Luckily I got the kickstarter box so I've many dinos already, but expansions will hike the price. Still worth picking up at least the base game if you like Dinos and Deck Builders.
