AFTERSHOCK: A Humanitarian Crisis Game

AFTERSHOCK is an fantastic simulation of the dynamics of humanitarian missions. The game's mechanics are reasonably simple and intuitive, gameplay is high-tension, well-balanced between collaboration and friendly competition, and extremely fun. The game is highly educational without beating you over the head with information. My only critique is that it could contain a more robust representation of Carana's internal politics. This could easily be a basis for an expansion though.

A 10 to get some attention for the game. Very ambitious and does a good job with the premise.

I didn't enjoy playing this as a game. However, as an educator, I can definitely see where it is suitable as a learning tool, and so in that context, my score would be 4/5. But as a consumer product to be bought for enjoyment (which is the focus of BGG after all), I can't say it's better than many other more fun-forward co-ops, so 3/5.

This game looks incredible and amazing and the only down vote it has ever had was from a nefarious troll who does it to over 5000 games. I can't wait to play this game!
