The Cauldron: Experimental (fan expansion for Sentinels of the Multiverse)

After 2 lousy slog plays of just taking forever to inevitably die/lose against newer Cauldron villains, I'm basically done/over Cauldron decks. Get 'em out of my sight -- do not want to play anymore games with Cauldron only decks, no thanks.

A more micro fan expansion - every bit the same quality as the base Cauldron expansion.

Cricket is such a fantastic hero. Has one of my favorite "quotes from the Comics" in her "Voice Mimicry" card:

Adventurers #8 Absolute Zero: "She does some very convincing impressions" Absolute Zero: "Stop that!"

5/19: So far, only the Cybersphere, but I love having these extra cards as well. They add so much variety. Often somewhat less testes, they tend to be more powerful, but I have really enjoyed all the expansions I have tried so far. I gather there is a new set coming, and will need to get those as well, but one set I will pass on I think.

This is excellent. As good as any of the regular sets in terms of game design and art. Good enough that the publisher approved sale of it as a print-on-demand product.

Update: I've played the three heroes from the set, but haven't used the villains or environment. So far, so good. I like Titan a lot. The other two heroes are pretty good. Cypher in particular suffers if you get a poor starting draw.

More Sentinels. What's not to love?
