Lock 'n Load Tactical: Core Rules v5.1

My book came today, which was in 2018 sometime. (The current date on this review just indicates the last time I edited it. I've had this book for a while) I'm actually looking through it now. And I am very pleased! I think it's great. I've had a few test runs with the index to get a sample for how intuitive and functional it is. It passed! The index is great! That was the main reason why I bought it. This book is the perfect reference book for a tactical war game, in my opinion, especially for newer players like me.

There are so many small details to keep track of and the book allows for much faster look ups to not only answer questions, but to verify that you are doing things correctly and to bring clarification to some of the player aid parts that you may not fully understand from the shorthand. When I mess up a rule, I tend to mess it up for the worse. So I like to be really accurate when I play, especially when playing a simulation like this.

I've already, within the first 15 minutes of reading through the book, have cleared up a rule mistake that I was making but didn't know I was making. The beginning section detailing the unit counter information is an outstanding addition for new players, as well. And the cross references in the rules are a very nice touch!

I find the core rulebook v5.1 a fine revision of the previous one. It covers all aspects and info needed that can be looked for on a battlefield during your game play. What they have achieved is that you can find any minor detail or subparagraph very quickly without turning pages all the time trying to guess where you might have seen that particular sentence. A remarkable thorough work.

Best manual ever... Just amazing every page of it!
