All-Star Lineup Baseball

Fun game to play and easy to learn. Game concentrates on the pitcher vs. batter battle. Game is played totally from cards and dice. Only a couple of small charts are utilized from the play book and they can be quickly memorized. Game components are high quality including a very nice playmat. While this can be a fun game for anybody, I would especially recommend it for (1) players that are put off by lots of charts and finicky rules, (2) players that are new to the sports game hobby (the basic game can be learned in a few minutes and advanced rules are easy to understand), and (3) anybody who wants to play a baseball board game that's easy to learn and plays fast.

An excellent game that brings a new approach to tabletop baseball with an emphasis on playability without sacrificing statistical realism. If you find yourself frustrated by games that require multiple dice rolls and chart flipping then this one is for you. The quality of the components is first rate. The game's creator, Craig Wessel, is extremely responsive and helpful and willing to create any season on demand. Highly recommended!

By the way, the game mat that you get included is top notch and the player cards etc really come out nice via PDF and the printed materials for the game really look great! Did I mention that the gameplay is smooth and flows the way it should!

Love, love love this game - fantastic playmat, and quick game play. Zero charts needed - you just roll and play. Includes a Basic mode which my son (8) loves, but the full game is great fun. AND you can order any season you want back to 1876!

One of the best games that replicates the pitcher versus batter conflict. If the pitcher wins, the batter is going down; if the batter wins, he's going downtown!!!

All-Star Lineup Baseball contains some of the best playing components of any game in any genre. The game cards are an item of beauty both in color and in quality. They are the size of business cards but are thicker and have a glossy finish. The neoprene playing mat is also of high qualify puts all the action on defined footprint. The Wild Cards are an interesting diversion to "normal" play as they introduce everything from errors to rain delays to bench clearing brawls. All-Star Lineup Baseball is instant all-time favorite in my game collection.
