Uprising: Warsaw 1944

Very bad game. Unrealistic. Germans are too weak.

Absolute disaster. I am talking about the game (Uprising was also a disaster of course). Incoherent rules, in many cases you don't know what to do next. Most Polish units are generic, not historical, I don't know why. Polish OdB is well-researched. German support units disappeared after a few turns. Historically Luftwaffe was probably the biggest killer in Warsaw Uprising. Some air strikes killed 300 fighters or more. Unplayable.

Hard to set up but very fun to play.

Very enjoyable game on an important topic in the war. Has a great narrative that really plays in your mind the tragic events the people must have gone through.

Great to see a publisher cover something different, particular city fighting.

Excellent components and very reasonable price

Rules were a bit of a challenge but the geek has been very useful in that regard

This is a very difficult topic to create a game from. The designer did a good job creating a thoughtful and insightful game. It is also a difficult task to create an engaging game basically from a city uprising. Again the designer achieved a game that was compelling. You need to play the game several times to fully appreciate it. Maybe its the English translation and players being frustrated but the games concepts become easy to internalize after several plays.

Topic has always interested me. This game comes very close to illustrating the nature of an urban uprising. Game components are outstanding. Rules need to be reviewed to fully understand the game. It takes time and effort to internalize them.

Well done. Difficult topic beyond range of many designers, except UPRISING 44 designers. Game is not perfect but gives many opportunities to resolve problems. Second edition is expected.

Very good and historical game

Only chess are in 100 % balanced. German player must be only patient but not lethargic. He has 2 months to win the game. Historically Germans achived victory in second part of September when they used armored divisions. Rating "1" is extremly unfair. Seldom and difficult topic .
