Nice components. Comprehensive and understandable rules. Lots to manage to effectively conduct and win the conflict from your side.
A most innovative, beautiful and insightful game. Looks both fresh, original and interesting, very fast and reasoned responses from designer, who is clearly well versed and seems to have a fair perspective in this complex conflict (see QA).
It would be a 10 with a better rulebook. A work of art.

The game is exceptional. The design is very innovative and it is one of the best strategic-operational war games I have ever encountered. Very few games provide a player the opportunity to develop a strategy and also develop operational plans, i.e., campaign plans, to achieve the strategic objectives. This isn't just "beat the opponent's army." You have to decide what political and economic objectives can be achieved with your limited resources. It also gets right the impact of battles -- which provide tremendous swings of momentum while remaining bound within the inexorable logic of time, attrition, and "industrialized" war.
The combat resolution system is also very innovative. Simple without being simplistic. It strikes an elegant balance between raw strength, force enablers, leadership, and chance (or the execution of the battle). All without a CRT. (In truth, these are the only variables that most overall commanders have any control over.) Would like to see more systems like this.
The rules are short (at least by Grognard standards). And the company has many videos on YouTube explaining the game's processes. The designer is very accessible and wonderfully courteous.
Finally, the physical components of the game are beautiful. The map is a work of art -- and you have to pay attention to what is represented on it. It is also functional without clutter. The other physical components -- wooden unit counters, cubes, and dice -- are also fantastic (and plentiful). Truly, one of the prettiest games I have ever played.
