Satisfied deck building heavy game is heavier and even greater. I really enjoy to play with new shipping, city and farmer strategies. Cities delivery system might me too complex for new players, but after a few plays, it's pretty clear for me (though I dislike the color/symbol markings of cities and delivery times).

As GWT. Maybe a bit lacking in story coherence, due to ships addition. Nice game otherwise.

If I could, I would give this game a 11 star rating. This game is even better than the previous GWT. It's on par with Gaia Project, making both of them my most favorite boardgames to play.

This one has the most epic 3d printed insert. From Etsy of course, but it was worth it

LIKE: I enjoy the similar mechanisms that are in the original GWT. I like the movement along the routes and building builds to slow down other or to help yourself. I like the delivery of the ships, trying to reach the threshold and ship grain.

DISLIKE: The anchor icons on the ships were terrible. Poorly visible to identify which harbor they go to. Getting grain to complete deliveries seems to vary the gameplay, as the train no longer helps. There was more to the ship deliveries, making more variables to consider, which I don't know if that was something I enjoyed or not on the first play. For example, I attempted to deliver as strategically as I could, but one other player inadvertently claimed the Liverpool 16-point spot that I was driving for (in this situation, the 20-point spot was claimed). I felt my efforts were rather wasted, as forcing the shipping to happen is more chaotic than strategic. Another note, I did not enjoy the farmers in the paths as much. There didn't seem to be much benefit in buying them for the exhaustion cards. Perhaps there's a strategy to do so. I found the rulebook to be spread out, but complete. It took longer to lookup edge case rules.

OVERALL: It's a solid game, if not a bit more complex with more nuances than the original. Moving quickly doesn't seem to help claim victory as much in this version as it did in the original. Good or bad? I think it's good, but our play was quite long, as players number crunched a bit more.

Although I do enjoy this series, I sometimes wonder why we have so many iterations.

Loved this one better than the original. There is way less incentive to specialize. None of the workers seemed to be more powerful than the rest. Adding a farmer really adds to the depth of the game. Additional resource of grain, and having the players to hire up-to 4 types of workers makes the game more tight and punishing. There is less money and more to do.
