THIS IS MY GAME!!! - My absolute favorite! Not too small in size (tactical level like Wellington's Victory or La Bataille-Series) nor too big (like strategic games of the Waterloo campaign) - just the right size to get the feeling of Napoleonic Warfare as its best! Very good to instruct newbies to the Napoleonic-gameworld - especially the [gameid=30022]-scenario. Kevin Zucker has designed an absolutly genious product which engaged lots of other designers to adopt its rules and framework (480m/hex, 500-800 men/SP, 1 hour/GT) setting to complete a whole series, also called "NLB-series" - now called "The Library of Napoleonic Battles" (TLNB). A strongly recommended MUST for every Napoleonic buff and Grognard!
Also, if you like, try Markus Stumptner's special variant rules and counters: http://www.dbai.tuwien.ac.at/user/mst/games/lbn/lbn.html#rules
just the old contemporates - I wouldn't recommend it (reason for bad rating!) due to my love for the first SPI and TSR Editions and to the fact the Napoleon's Last Gamble (NLG) from OSG the much better successor. DG should have cooperated with the designer K.Zucker to make something outstanding.
Basic wargame
One of the best Hex&counter "classic" examples. Excellent as an introduction to the genre and good as a game in it's own. Contains four individual battles for the Hundred days campaign (Quatre Bras, Ligny, Wavre, La Belle Alliance) . The maps can be joined to play the campaign of three days as a whole. Brigade scale with hourly turns. Simple system. Never played the great campaign scenario. Don´t have table for that.
Each individual batlle can be played between 1h (Quatre Bras) to 3h (La Belle Alliance -Waterloo)

TSR version. One of the best games I ever played. How many plays late in the night with friends! It gives the feeling of Napoleonic warfare in a simple and elegant system.
