I just bought into Heroclix because I've been drawn to it for a long time. And from what I've read, it's a pretty expansive game of combat.
I have some Justice League members, some Avengers, some Batman villains, and Spiderman and some of his villains. I also bought General Zod and a couple of additional maps. I have 26 characters, total. I'm not going to pour a bunch of money into like I did with Dice Masters, which is one of my favorite games.
I primarily wanted some pretty cool combat with superheroes. Dice Masters is abstracted a lot. It's a great game, but it loosely simulates combat. I wanted a more tangible depiction of combat. But I don't need a million characters, like I have with Dice Masters.
Update: This is my dream game, a superhero game of tactical combat using miniatures. I have been out of control with buying a lot of heroes and villains I can get my hands on. I've surpassed the investment I have spent on Dice Masters. I still have more Dice Masters stuff because it is cheaper. I have to stop now because I'm running out of storage space. The miniatures are exquisite! Wow! The ones I have listed here are just entries to represent that I have a lot of Heroclix stuff. BGG does not have hardly any of that stuff on the sight.
I don't have a million characters, but I'm close...
