The City: Upgraded Edition

The City is a straight-up racing engine builder, some strategy involved, but mostly find a engine and run it, quickly.

It features multi-use cards (like RftG), but since it rubs only 7-8 rounds (or less) there's no time to delay, and lots of time for a rematch, if you don't wind up on top.

Cards give round-end Income of VP or Cards, sometimes based on your tableau, sometimes on all tableaux- reminiscent of what Machi Koro did, but without the production randomness.

Don't think it (or Jump Drive) will surplant the deeper RftG for me, but I like it better than either Machi Koro, and in some ways it reminds me of a lighter Suburbia.

Good game.

Easy, fun and quick city development game.

plays like a simpler version of jump drive with a city building theme... enjoyed it
