Where’s the Beef!? It’s small and cute. Beyond that there is little to no details. Players are all clones. Most hitters are B or C. If a player hits 000 or 200 he is a D; If he hits 300 or 380 he is an A. If a player hits 39 HR or 62 HR, he is an A either way. Ranges are too broad for my taste. Sorry. Tow thumbs down for this game. I like every player to have own unique qualities or individuality. This game makes everyone the same. Shrinking charts to card size doesn’t make the game chartless. Way way too many lookups. I will pass. How senior guys are seduced by this level of simplicity is baffling to me. There are so many great games out there.

This fills the "Pocket Game" niche for baseball, and really hits the mark for portability and ease of play. The result are surprisingly accurate enough to get the familiar fell of the teams you know. The manager program is amazing for the detail and contains the complete universe of Baseball! This game is easy to learn and fun to play over and over.

Very fun game that is quick to get to the table. The creators have done a super good packing in tons of content with both the printed and print and play versions. The accompanying software is genius and adds lots of flexibility creating custom leagues and teams.

The game engine is ripe for adding homebrew rules to make things as realistic as you would like it to be.

Would highly recommend.

It's very much a streamlined baseball simulation, yet still takes almost as long as other sims. New version 2.0 tweaks the base game even more. Could be a nice intro to baseball sims, but without detailed player data this doesn't feel too realistic.

Some people whine and complain about the generic player ratings. But that’s the whole point. This isn’t a super realistic sim, it’s a streamlined baseball sim light with lots of abstractions. If you want realism go play Strat or History Maker Baseball. It’s a baseball game that has like 4 charts and 4 ratings per player.

To me it’s the perfect baseball game. Easy enough to make fictions teams and players so I don’t have to play boring replays. Yawn.

And the included software makes setting up and playing a game super quick.

If you want a light quick playing baseball sim with player ratings instead of just team ratings. I highly recommend.

Generic baseball never rises to the top. How would Ed Yost do in this system (not well). His OBA would suffer.
